The process of making your custom cake starts days or even weeks before your order date, from processing the order to ordering specialty ingredients or making custom decorations. We understand that plans can change, and we will try our best to assist you in making changes to your order details whenever possible.
We bake one day and decorate the next. If you need to postpone your cake for another date, change the flavor or size, we require at least two-week’s notice. With less notice, we can reschedule your order (depending on availability) however you may incur an extra charge to re-bake the cake/recreate the elements on the cake. As we are a small bakery, we only take a certain number of orders each week.
Once the order has been delivered or picked up, it is the customer’s responsibility to check their order to ensure it meets the agreed-upon design, flavor, color, etc. If you are not 100% satisfied with the cake, you are under no obligation to accept it. A refund (minus 25% handling/cancellation fee) will be given if you decide not to accept the cake. However, once accepted, no full or partial refund will be given. NOTE: If we give you a refund, you CANNOT keep the cake. You can only get the refund if you refuse to “accept” the cake. We will NOT negotiate a partial refund if you keep the cake. This is a “take it or leave it” policy. We are not responsible for any expense you may incur for replacing our cake.
If you choose to pick up your cake and transport it yourself, we are not liable or responsible for the cake once it has left the bakery. You should prepare your vehicle so it is clean and free of items that could roll or slide into the cake. We do everything in our power to provide a well-structured cake, but please note that cakes are very fragile and break easily, drive carefully and slowly. Once the cake leaves our shop, we are not responsible for any damage occurring to the cake during transport, set-up, or any time thereafter.
Cake flavor and texture is subjective. Refunds requested due to flavor or texture after the order has been accepted and picked up will not be honored. You may qualify for a store credit if the product is brought back within 24 hours and the quality of the cake flavor or texture is determined not to meet our standards. Quality determination is solely at the discretion of LoveCakes. Our cakes are exceptionally moist. Keep in mind variety in temperature and humidity may impact the flavor, overall design, or texture of the cake to some degree. Please understand we cannot control changes in texture or changes in color or shape due to weather conditions.
Every cake we make is hand-made. Decorative finishes are done by hand and are subject to artistic interpretation. You may provide us with a photograph for inspiration and duplication; however, we make no claims for exact duplication of the work done by other cake decorators.
